October 20th, 2009

AAPL shot up to above 200. Yet the SPY didn't move up that much except QQQQ.
Today earnings are YHOO, CAT and SNDK.

  1. s. mantra, are you gonna step in front of this oil train again today. I am gonna nibble on DTO and see if we can't get at least one or two day pull back in here somewhere. I will only add to my position if it goes positive for me today. in at 60.55. Oil will probably test 80 today

  2. I bought some energy triple short ERY and short APPL yesterday AH. Will hold onto those and watch.

  3. Now SPY is bouncing off 109.78 twice from the downside. We need to see SPY break 108 in order for the trend to change.

  5. The defensive stocks are continue to go down. NOC, LLL, LMT, BA, ORB.
It seems like defensive stocks trend is about to change from uptrend to downtrend.

Gold stocks are continue to do some pullback.

  7. Yesterday's high 63.39 for DTO. If we brake we are in for pleasant surprise. I bought this for 64.5 last Thursday, I believe we get that.

  8. So far today action is very encouraging for the bears, but the day is not over yet. We are at halftime right now.

AAPL couldn't bring the market up with good earning. AAPL could be forming a "blow off top" same as AA and CAT.

  10. X just can't stay under 42.. I should have dumped it there but I was in a meeting.

  11. Chad, don't be too anxious to dump X. X is not oversold yet. There is more downside between now till next Tuesday, X earning day.

  15. I have a hunch the market will try to move back up at the end of day.

AA earning cost me the loss of CLF.

  16. GCL,
what do you think WFC will report?
planning to hold some calls into tomorrow

  17. I really don't know. I hate earning season.
Well, so far most of banks reported went down.
For example, GS, C and BAC.

There are some stocks went down to support level after they broke out. I really don't know if it continuation of uptrend or breaking down. The market could go either way.

  19. BAS, EXM has a huge support at 6. If EXM breaks 7.50, it can go up fast to 10. 10 is my target.

EXM is in a shipping industry.

Also DRYS and EGLE looks good too.

  20. Hi guys, my system has been down all day so missed out today. Looks like I did not miss too much. I could have gotten some better exit points on my SPXU, but was using my telephone and actual brokers. Just put in a MOC for my SPXU. Got stopped out of DTO and WLP.
