Are we experiencing Santa rally? If we are, the market is going up in light volume.

I have to say about this year market. The market had volatile move down at the beginning of the year till March. Then the market turned to the upside till November. After that the market traded in a tight narrow range. The market had experienced in the bull and the bear mode.

  1. Changing Mark-to-Market to Mark-to-Some Fantasy # , I think has had to have been the biggest market changer this year by allowing banks to pretend to be solvent with worthless assetts.

  2. BAS, I agree with you about the biggest market changer this year. It had all the characteristics of the market. This is what I believe what will happen in 2010.

    1. The dollar currency will continue to go down after this minor rally.
    2. The spot gold will continue to go up from here.
    3. The housing market will probably bottom in the summer.
    4. The Fed will raise rate in the summer.

If Fed raises rate for the first time, you will see the dollar will bottom, the spot gold hit its peak, the housing market will hit the bottom, the stock market will hit its peak.
